Reports for Shopify merchants
Shopify report and export FAQ
What you can export, how financial figures differ, and how to get started.
Can I export Shopify sales and order values?
Yes. With optional order access, Export Report+ prepares order-value reports for a selected period, plus daily and weekly summaries. Order values describe orders; they are not the same as cash received or Shopify payouts.
Can I export refunds and cash movements?
Yes. You can export refund records and successful sale, capture and refund transactions. The reports keep store and presentment currencies separate. They do not convert currencies or reconcile processor fees, payouts or statutory taxes.
What is in the monthly accountant file?
The accountant ZIP contains separate CSV files for orders, refunds, cash movements and daily and weekly summaries, plus reconciliation notes. It is a reporting export, not a payout or tax filing statement.
Can I export products and inventory?
Yes. Build reusable reports for products, variants and inventory, including stock by location when the relevant permissions are granted. Choose columns and filters, add existing metafields or calculations, preview a sample, and prepare full CSV or Excel files in the background.
Do I need to grant access to orders?
Only for financial reports. Catalog and inventory reports use their own Shopify permissions. Shopify normally limits newly granted order access to the most recent 60 days unless older-order access is approved.
Can I schedule these reports?
Pro supports recurring catalog reports. Financial reports are prepared on demand; financial schedules and email delivery are not available.
Where do I install Export Report+?
Install it from the Shopify App Store listing, then open it from Apps in Shopify admin. See the illustrated guide for a walkthrough.
